Security and Housekeeping Staff Stage Gate Lock-In Over Delayed Salaries

On Thursday morning, security guards at Mahagun Meadows in Noida's Sector 150 staged a protest over delayed salaries. In an unprecedented move, the guards allegedly locked the society's main entrance gates, temporarily preventing residents and visitors from entering or leaving the premises.

Security guards and housekeeping staff protested against the builder, saying they haven't been paid for two months. Dozens of security guards, dressed in blue uniforms, raised slogans against Mahagun Developers, the builders of the residential tower.

Management and RWA Response

Mahagun Meadows is managed by the society's management committee, which oversees maintenance operations and disbursement of salary to the staff. When reached for comment, the committee's representatives declined to comment on the protest but said they were working to resolve the issue and address what they described as the "whole loophole" in the system.

RWA President Chandan Kumar said the agitation stemmed from "persistent salary delays and poor mismanagement" by the builder since the last three years.

Impact on Residents

As news of the protest spread across the society, several residents rushed to the main gate and urged the security guards to call off the strike. The situation escalated as residents found themselves stranded with entry and exit points blocked.

The incident highlights ongoing tensions between service staff, management structures, and residents at residential societies in the region, where salary delays have become a recurring flashpoint.
